Botanical Gardens - A trip to Portland’s Washington Park will put you within walking distance for two of the cities most notorious gardens; the Japanese and International Rose Test Gardens.

Japanese Garden - With over 5.5 acres to meander through, visitors can enjoy the five beautifully designed gardens all year long. Stroll through them at your own leisure or take the free guided tours that are offered April through October.

The Portland Rose Garden - created in 1917; this 4.5-acre hillside garden showcases 550 varieties of roses. The roses are in bloom from June through September.

Portland Classical Chinese Garden - occupies an entire city block in the Old Town/Chinatown section of the city. Building, teahouse and covered walkways are inviting as you stroll by ponds, orchids, rock gardens and pavilions. 80 percent of the garden is covered making it a delight in any kind of weather.
